Final Words (For 2016)…

A good Sunday evening to all!

My apologies once more for the delay in this post; a veritable flood of Outside World events and demands–mostly school-related–prohibited me from posting till now.

First, the good news: For those who haven’t seen the FBook post(s), my latest NaNoWriMo novel, Family Problems, crossed the 50K word count finish line near the end of November! The ever-present affliction known as Inner Editor forced me to hack off a fair amount as soon as I reached this mark, but as of last night’s self-imposed deadline, the draft now stands at 65K; less than I’d hoped for at the start, but far enough into the story that a break isn’t out of the question, and paving the way for the next round. Still haven’t completely gotten the hang of thriller-type dialogue and description, and probably never will, but I won’t let this draft and series sit in the drawer because of it. I’ll probably end up tinkering with parts of it all through my two weeks of break before New Years’–despite the usual vows to stay away from the laptop post Nano 🙂 –and may do the same at various points in 2017, before the start of the sixth and LAST draft in the Neo-Mafia series in NaNoWriMo of that year. After that, it’s edits upon edits upon edits for all of them, while shopping around for agents and publishers in true Sisyphean style. 🙂

Now, the better news: After finally finding a new designer, the updated Dillinger in Charleston cover is now up on Amazon Kindle! The image is included below, as is the link; please share and like however you want!

Lastly, I’ve taken a long look at the likely Outside World obstacles coming my way next year, and have decided that except for November, 2017 will be spent finishing off and revising drafts either near to completion, or already past it and waiting for the usual nine million edits. Not sure yet as to the schedule, or how many will be publish-worthy before the year or project time is out; I will keep you all posted here, and on my FBook author page.

Happy holidays to all family, friends and fans, and see you in 2017!
